Discover Your Purpose
There's more power in your self than you imagined. Be ready to explore.

Not too long ago, people used to live life in a very similar fashion... they would go to school, get a degree, get married, have a family, and work all of their lives in one place until they retired. Life Purpose was not a common topic for discussion. Most assumed they were living life doing what they were supposed (or meant) to do and seldom questioned it. Unfortunately, many were unhappy and blindly accepted the idea that this was their given life path and there was not much to do about it.
Today, we live in a world of constant changes. Life has become more "complicated"; we expect more, we live less, and we are unhappy more often than not. In general, people live in agitation, feeling anxious and stressed out. Many are becoming aware of the strange sensation of emptiness even when their lives appear to be somewhat "normal".
They feel unsettled and as if there was something more to life... Countless people are not happy about their lives, their relationships, their jobs and find it difficult to feel fulfilled no matter what they do. Some may even feel guilty about this feeling as they consciously realize they have everything to be happy yet they are not... and to top it all off, they can 't figure out the reason behind this nagging feeling.
More often than not, people are not living to their full potential which leaves this feeling of emptiness as a byproduct. And sadly, most are clueless as to how to find their true calling in life.
Does any of this resonate with you? The answer to this common problem could be as simple as discovering your life purpose. As you read this, two questions may come to mind... how do I discover my own life purpose? And is it a complicated process to go through?
While it can take some work, it 's not nearly as complex as some believe. Here are a few tips to help you discover your life purpose.
1. Time for Introspection.
Take some time to be just with yourself. Who are you? What makes you tick? What are you passionate about? What have you accomplished in the past that made you feel fulfilled? What moves you? These are some questions to get you going. Use your imagination to see yourself in particular scenarios that you believe will bring you the most happiness while serving for a cause. Allow yourself to feel "there" for the time being... how does it feel? Do you feel thrilled from the heart? Do you feel you 're willing to do whatever it takes to make that dream a reality? Do this exercise as many times as needed until you find yourself living in bliss in your imagination. Jot down important feelings and points as you do this.
2. Be Patient.
Know that the process to discover your life purpose it 's not an exact formula. We are all different people with unique experiences, talents, values and strengths. Do not rush the process or give up thinking you 'll never get it. Be realistic about this. Be determined to find your unique purpose while being compassionate with yourself. Be persistent and take your time... it 's your life.
3. Be Congruent.
Congruency is one important aspect to live a life of fulfillment. Your emotions, your thoughts, your values and your actions must be all aligned and congruent with each other for your life purpose to come to live. When you are authentic, you become passionate. At that point, you are on target to live a life on purpose.
4. Have Faith.
Having faith in both, yourself and a Higher Power, will help in bringing your life purpose to clarity. Trust the process and know that you will eventually find your calling. Having an inner feeling -and knowing- that you are "here" for a specific reason and to fulfill a mission, will help your process along.
5. Seek Help.
We live in a high paced world where our minds have been cluttered with an enormous amount of data which could prevent us from identifying our mission in life. We may feel at a loss as we discover we "like" many things and are not sure about how to proceed. We may even have hidden blocks that could prevent us from moving forward. This is a common situation that can make identifying our one passion a bit more complex. It can also make the process a bit confusing. If this is your case, hiring a Life Coach may be a great move. He or she can offer you the support and guidance to help you along your path.
Finally, consider that there are as many reasons as there are inhabitants in this planet to live a life on purpose, but two seem to be universal to us all...
When you discover your life purpose you become an asset to your family, your friends, your community and to society as a whole, because you are contributing to the life purpose the human race as a whole, that of being of service.
At the same time, you live in harmony with yourself. This translates into inner peace, health, joy and satisfaction. You discover you are not "working for a living" anymore but living for a reason as you share your talents for the betterment of all. Interestingly, this seems to be not only an individual objective but a common aspiration for all of us no matter what we choose to pursue in life.
